We The People Must Choose
The Constitution of the United States of America
September 17, 1787
We the People of the United States, in Order to 1. form a more perfect Union,
2. establish Justice,
3. insure domestic Tranquility,
4. provide for the common defense,
5. promote the general Welfare,
6. and secure the Blessings of Liberty
to ourselves and our Posterity (ALL succeeding generations, children, offspring) do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
Amendment XIV
Section 1.
All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person (an individual human being) of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person (an individual human being) within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.
The 14th Amendment defines citizens as 'persons born or naturalized in the United States.' The Oxford American Dictionary defines person as 'an individual human being'. From the point of conception an unborn child is a developing human being. From the point of birth that child becomes an American citizen.
Our constitution did not only intend to protect our citizens, born and naturalized, but all future generations, as well as all persons living within its jurisdiction. Do we not protect the lives of human beings living in America who are citizens of another country? Do we not offer them the opportunity to become citizens of the United States?
Should our unborn offspring, our posterity,our future generations not be given those same protections and opportunities?
I believe that our constitution declares that it should be so. Those who are citizens are bound under our constitution to protect any “person” within its jurisdiction with equal protection under the law. Our constitution was written to protect all present and future citizens, as well as all future generations. We now know based on science that an unborn child is a living human being.
If “we the people” are to preserve a more perfect union and secure the blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our posterity we must protect the unborn. They are the future generations of America!
It is also known that abortion damages and sometimes ends in death for the mother. Ending legalized abortion not only protects the unborn child it also protects the mother's of these children.
From the beginning God declared that an unborn child was a person. In Gen 25:23, he calls them two people, two nations; one weak the other one strong.
In Jeremiah 1:5, God declares to Jeremiah that he formed him in the womb and set him apart. God had a plan for his life before his physical birth. Abortion disrupts the work of God in the womb.
In Deu 30:19, God declared that He has set before us life and death. He admonishes us to choose life; for with life comes blessings, with death comes curses.
Our nation is presently experiencing the curse that comes with the legalization of abortion, the shedding of innocent blood.
Do we want to be a strong nation with the blessings of life, or a weak nation that inherits the curses of death? Those are the two choices that God offers human beings.
Abortion kills our unborn children (our posterity, our future generations).
Abortion damages the mother’s emotional, mental and physical health and sometimes ends in death. How does that secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity?
Abortion denies a child (an unborn person) their right to life and their right to become a citizen. Where is the equal justice in that?
Abortion limits the woman's ability to nurture and protect her surviving children. How does that insure domestic tranquility?
Abortion destroys families and relationships. It destroys the very foundation of society. How does that promote the general welfare?
Our constitution does not, should not, allow one person’s rights to destroy the rights of another, lest we become a nation of the survival of fittest rather than a nation under God. That was Margaret Sanger’s goal, when she founded Planned Parenthood. It is the goal of those today who want to erase any evidence of God in our nation.
As long as “we the people” allow the destruction of future generations through legalized abortion, we are contributing to the destruction of our nation.
Putting aside any religious convictions, to choose between a woman’s right to privacy or a successful career, versus a child’s right to life, should be a “no brainer” for any person; whether he claims to be an American patriot, Christian, Atheist, Catholic ,Protestant, Republican, Democrat, or whatever.
Who, save the Almighty God, should say which baby shall live and which baby shall be put to death?
In a strong nation ALL have the right to life. In a strong nation there is liberty and justice for ALL!
We the people must choose life if we hope to preserve our nation!
