Hearts of Fathers

Scripture:It is he who will go as a forerunner before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, TO TURN THEHEARTSOF THE FATHERS BACK TO THE CHILDREN, and the disobedient to the attitude of the righteous,so as to make ready a peopleprepared for the Lord.” (Luke 1:17)
Devotional:  The policy of abortion on demand has hardened the hearts of many men toward their children. These policies allow for irresponsible males to be freed from the responsibility that goes along with fathering children.  Men are told by politicians to “sit down and shut up” about abortion because it is not their issue.

My Heart's Desire

Father, you hold the hearts of kings in your hand. Please turn the hearts of our leaders and your people back to you! May your heart's desire become ours.  In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, Amen.

Consider This

No male has ever fathered a child without the aid of a female!
.
‘Ask now, and see If a male can givebirth. Why do I see every man With his hands on his loins, as a woman inchildbirth? And why have all faces turned pale? (Jeremiah 30:6)
.
God allowed Mary to conceive a child without the help male. In Luke 1:30 the angel told her to fear not, because she had found favor with God. This child would save the world! God calls children a gift, a blessing from God and declares in the Book of John that when a woman gives

Morning Devotional - God's Nurturing

Scripture:“ Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, the way a hen gathers her chicks under herwings, and you were unwilling.”( Matthew 23:27)
Devotional:God is our protective Father, and our loving Mother. Though the power of His Holy Spirit He loves and nurtures His children. He longs to gather us under His wing as a mother hen gathers her baby chicks and leads them to safety. Because of our faith in Jesus Christ we have received forgiveness for our sins and can enter into the presence of God and receive the blessings that come from being adopted into His family.

Morning Devotional- He Knew My Way

Scripture:  When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then thou knewest my path. In the way wherein I walked have they privly
laid a snare for me. I looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no man that would know me; refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul. I cried unto thee, O Lord; I said, Thou art my refuge and my portion in the land of the living. (Psalms 142:3-5).
Devotional:  It is said that the darkest hour is just before dawn. In the darkest hours of our life when there seems to be no man who cares, Christ is there to shine the light.

Morning Devotional - God's Loving Kindness

Scripture:Let me hear Your loving kindness in the morning; For I trust in You; Teach me the way in which I should walk; For to You I lift up my soul.(Psalm 143: 8)
Morning Devotional: The more we consider the power of God, the less we shall fear the face or force of man. He looks up with earnest desires towards God and his favour. This is the best course we can take, when our spirits are overwhelmed. The believer will not forget, that in his best actions he is a sinner. Meditation and prayer will recover us from distresses; and then the mourning soul strives to return to the Lord as the infant stretches out its hands to the indulgent mother, and thirsts for his consolations as the parched ground for refreshing rain.

Here It Is, Step by Step

Scripture:  Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it.” (Isaiah 30:21)
Devotional:  You see the unquestionable progress from grace to sin.  Thus it goes on, from step to step:
(1)   The divine seed of loving, conquering faith remains in the one who is born of God.  “He keeps himself” by the grace of God and “cannot commit sin.”
(2)   A temptation arises; whether from the world, the flesh, or the devil, it matters not.

It is Not Enough

Psalm 11:3 "When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?"
.
The foundations of our society are being shaken out from underneath us by the effects of abortion, the shedding of innocent blood.
It is not enough to snatch young women from abortion centers and take them to pregnancy help centers. Yes--- we must do that for those caught in the clutches of an evil so vile that it would destroy the life of their unborn child and perhaps even their own life. But, then what?

The View From God’s Throne

Scripture:  The Lord Looks from heaven; He sees all the sons of men.(Psalm 33:13)
Devotional:  Perhaps no figure of speech represents God in a more gracious light than when He is spoken of as stooping from His throne and coming down from heaven to attend to the wants and to behold the woes of mankind.
We cannot help pouring out our heart in affection for our Lord who inclines His ear from the highest glory and puts it to the lip of the dying sinner whose failing heart longs after reconciliation.
