Scripture: Psalms 91:1-6He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
Devotion: This week end we are remembering those that lost their lives on September 11, 2001 by a senseless act of terror. We morn with and pray for those families that lost loved ones and are still hurting from that loss. Let us also remember that in our nation more 3000 unborn Americans loss their life every day by the senseless act of abortion. Let us pray that as a nation we can turn back to the God that gives us life and once again honor all life.
Prayer: Father we are still grieving as a nation for the tragic loss of life on September 11, 2001 by the acts of those that hate America. We pray that you would comfort those that lost loved ones that day. Help all of us a individuals and as a nation to stand up against such horrible acts. We look to you and you alone for the wisdom needed to properly respond to such evil. We ask you to protect our nation from further acts of destruction by those that disregard the value of all human life. We pray that no weapon formed against our nation would prosper. Help us to stand strong that we might honor you and the principles that this nation was founded on. In God we trust and in the precious name of Jesus Christ we submit our request for protection of this nation. Amen.
